A building you like in Chile
Hi classmates! I hoped that are well. One of
the type of buildings that I like it more is the Chilean National Museum of
Natural History (your abbreviation is MNHN). Mentioned museum that localized in
the Quinta Normal Park, in side of the aforementioned namesake station. This
museum belong to one of the three national museums in Chile (the others is
Museum of Fine Arts and the National History Museum), also belong to one older
museums of the Latin America, founded at the beginning of the nineteen century.
The thematic principal is the biology and
geography of Chile and one of the favourite’s parts of the museum is the
section of “Biogeography of Chile”. This part is a long hallway where exhibit the
flora and fauna on the one hand for region, while that for on the other hand
show the ancient indigenous villages for region. For example, the sub desert
zone exhibit vegetal species associated to environmental mentioned, such as
cactus (example the quisco), littles shrubs, and typical species of the florid
desert such as the famous flower named “Garra de Leon”. However, on the other
hand, is exhibit to the “atacameños or diaguitas”, were appropriate to the
ancient indigenous peoples of the zone.
Is very difficult for me describe the
architecture of the museum due to I don’t student of architecture L, but I think that the architectural
morphology of the museum is the classical of all the older museums of the
world, haha, sincerely I didn’t realise of the architecture of MNHN.
I like it the museum because exhibit a great information
basis above the biological and geographical stories, and for this reason is my favourite
museum of country.
